Seafood Medley

Today, we decided to go to the beach before the storms moved in this afternoon.

 

London is warming up to the water... But by the end of the day he was over it again!! 

He looks so cute standing up like this!!

After going to the beach, we washed up and went to Total Wine. They claim to have the largest beer selection in the area. Huck was in heaven!!

We went next door to the Publix Greenwise. I can't wait to share this weeks recipes with you guys. We only spent $50 at the store, but we will be eating really good this week :) 

Tonight's dinner was my Carbonara. We bought a seafood medley that included calamari, octopus, mussels, and shrimp. I was worried that the calamari and octopus would be to tough, but I thought it would be something different. The octopus was just a little over cooked but the calamari was perfect!! 

Dessert was an angel food cake topped with sliced strawberries and homemade whipped cream. You have to make your own whip cream! 

After dinner, we sat outside and enjoyed one of Huck's beers and a cigar he got at Total Wine. We had some really good discussions about our goals and the future. 

Well time for bed. Huck has his first Beer Competition, tomorrow!
